Banyan Soaps has grown to include many products in addition to the original fish-friendly soap, but the philosophy behind the products remains the same. Banyan Soaps are made from natural, organic ingredients which are safe for people as well as the environment. Each batch of Banyan Soap is hand-poured and mixed independently a few bars at a time. The soap is always fresh and made-to-order.

Mass produced soaps contain detergents, whereas organic soaps are made using natural ingredients such as plant oils and animal fats. This difference is most noticeable in how the products treat your skin; Banyan Soaps provide a thicker, creamier lather which is less drying and irritating. An additional benefit of using organic soaps is that the products actually last longer than commercial-brand soaps. For example, a bar of Banyan Soap lasts approximately 1 month in the shower whereas a bar of commercial-brand soap lasts on average 2 weeks. Our organic soaps, although slightly more expensive than the widely available commercial brands, are actually a better bargain in the long run: for your skin as well as your pocket-book! Did you realize that the scent in soap remains on your body, even after rinsing thoroughly? Have the scent that lingers be suited to your personal taste by enjoying one of our signature scents. A popular favorite is Bay Rum, a scent derived from Singleton’s Jamaican Rum (which makes a nicely scented after-shave), or complement the scent of your favorite perfume or cologne by layering a signature scent of your choosing in your soap, shampoo and lotion. In addition to choosing your own favorite scent, each of our products can be custom-made in the color of your choice.
